1. No advice
Regulator Watch is a journalism and information service. Nothing on this site, in its API, in its emails, or on any associated channel constitutes:
- legal advice;
- regulatory or compliance advice;
- tax or accounting advice;
- investment advice or any recommendation to buy, hold, or sell any financial instrument;
- a solicitation, offer, or invitation to participate in any regulated activity;
- a guarantee that any firm is or is not authorised in any jurisdiction;
- a guarantee that any bank is or is not solvent, well- capitalised, or otherwise in “good standing”.
Decisions you take on the basis of anything you read here are yours. We strongly recommend obtaining qualified professional advice before acting on any information from the Service that materially affects your interests.
2. Accuracy and currency
Items are produced through a combination of automated ingestion from public regulator sources and human review. Despite best efforts, items may contain errors, may be incomplete, may reflect a regulator’s notice that has since been amended or withdrawn, or may be published after a delay. The originating regulator’s source remains the authoritative version in every case, and we link to it for every item. Where we publish summaries or translations, the original prevails.
We make no warranty as to the accuracy, completeness, timeliness, or fitness for any particular purpose of any information on the Service.
3. Bank Pulse scores
Bank Pulse scores are an editorial composite computed from public sources (FDIC call reports, FFIEC FR Y-9C filings, EBA disclosures, end-of-day market data) using a published methodology. They are journalistic indicators, not credit ratings (we are not a CRA registered under Regulation (EC) No 1060/2009 and do not issue credit ratings within the meaning of that regulation). They are not solicitations to act in any way in relation to any bank or any instrument it issues, they are not predictions of bank failure, and they are not a substitute for the work of registered credit-rating agencies, regulators, or qualified professional advisers.
4. FATF status
FATF Watch reproduces the status that the Financial Action Task Force itself publishes in its plenary outcome statements. We do not produce independent country risk ratings; we surface what FATF has already made public, in a more navigable form. Where a country’s status changes between FATF plenaries, our data reflects what FATF has published.
5. Third-party links and content
The Service links extensively to regulator websites and other third-party sources. We have no control over third-party sites, do not endorse them by linking to them, and disclaim responsibility for their content, availability, accuracy, or privacy practices.
6. Forward-looking statements
Some items reference proposed rules, consultations, or announced enforcement priorities. The eventual outcome often differs from the proposal in form and timing. Treat every forward-looking item as provisional until the regulator confirms the final position.
7. Persons named in items
Where the underlying public regulator notice names a firm or an individual, we reproduce that naming in faithful summary, in the regulator’s own words where practicable, and with a link to the regulator’s page. We do not allege wrongdoing beyond what the regulator alleges. We do not add editorial commentary implicating natural persons. If you are named and the underlying notice has been corrected, withdrawn, or successfully appealed, contact info@disruptfinance.io and we will update or retract the item per our editorial policy.
8. No solicitation in restricted jurisdictions
The Service is published from the jurisdiction identified on the imprint page. Nothing on the Service is directed at any person in any jurisdiction where the publication or availability of the Service would be contrary to local law. If access from your jurisdiction is restricted, do not access the Service.
9. Limitation of liability
See clause 10 of the terms of use for the contractual limitation of liability that applies to your use of the Service.
